Evergreen perennial plant grow 2 m tall leaves large 25-70 cm long, 10-30 cm wide, petiole 1 m, spear-like, oblong, leathery, pale midrib the flower structure:

 1- the spathe The base of the bloom is a hard, boat-shaped green sheath (or spathe) It is positioned perpendicular to the stem and is sometimes tinged with pink, resembling a bird’s beak

 2- Sepals: Emerging one at a time are three brilliant, upright orange (or sometimes golden yellow) outer parts 

3-Petals: Inside are three highly modified vivid blue petals Two of these petals are fused together to form a distinct, dart-shaped "arrowhead" nectary
